No, this doesn’t mean we’re getting a new chapter in Carat every month now (wouldn’t that be nice if it were true?), all it means is that they switched back to the original publication schedule (every even month). On top of that, there won’t be a chapter in Carat 2009-12, so the next 6-page chapter will come out in Carat 2010-02. Next regular 8-page chapter comes out in Kirara tomorrow, raws should show up on share 2-3 weeks later…

So this is the special chapter I mentioned earlier. It’s not really a “chapter” as each page is its own independent story about K-ON! characters written by a different mangaka. “Uhn-Tan!” is what Yui says when she plays her castanets (if you want to hear her say it, watch ep.1 of the anime around 12:15).
Now the bad news. Two last pages are missing (weren’t in the raw). I don’t really understand how you can scan 16-page booklet, covers and all, and miss 2 pages, but whatever. I even waited a few days hoping that whoever released the raw would realize their mistake and re-release. Guess not. Normally I don’t deal with incomplete raws, but I am making an exception in this case because each page is independent (so missing pages do not affect other pages) and because with this being a “not-for-sale” special booklet included with an issue of a magazine, chances of alternative raws appearing anytime soon are not good. As for the missing pages themselves, here’s what they look like:
